Anyone unfamiliar with SEC football history would be tempted to write this one off as a sure win for the Vols, and with a decade worth of consecutive wins over Vandy, they would be correct, to a degree. However, the 'Dores are traditionally one of, if not the, toughest opponents Tennessee has to contend with. Coach Bobby Johnson is in his second season in Nashville, and this year's squad, though far from a bowl contender, is not grounded into the past mentality of past VU teams, of rolling over and playing weakly.
The game will be marked by Seniors Day, where both the well known and the unknown of the Class of 2003 will enjoy their final individual runs through the T. It's usually an emotional day, and Big Orange fans will say "well done!" to another class that appeared in a post season bowl games all of its four years.
