GAME PREVIEW

11/29 Kentucky Wildcats

Thanks to the prior SEC commissioner, this border states game was moved to the last contest of the season, beginning in 2002. As in Knoxville the week before, the Wildcats will celebrate their Seniors Day, the most notable of the bunch being quarterback Jared Lorenzen. The slinging lefty is still fairly hefty, and whether he has what it takes to play in the NFL remains to be seen. Coach Rich Brooks' NFL-style offense sure could not hurt his chances, but with a weakened defense, Kentucky's post season chances are slim, at best. Still, they have shown improvement, highlighted by the game against Alabama in Tuscaloosa, thus the Vols best be on their toes in a game once dubbed as "The Battle of the Barrel" (The barrel was dispensed of after a UK player was involved in an alcohol related car wreck).
